All-wheel drive crossover BMW X6 ActiveHybrid, according to representatives of the company, is the most powerful hybrid in the world — total return of a power-plant makes 480 h.p. (778 Nm). Such car has received 4,4-litre motor V8 with two turbines, two electric motors developing 91 and 86 h.p., the complete set nickel-metallogidridnyh of batteries and a seven-step automatic transmission. At work together with the petrol unit electromotors help the car on dispersal and can work as the generator at braking.
The hybrid version of a sedan 7-Series is equipped with the 20-strong electromotor, lithium-ionic batteries and more powerful version of the eight-cylinder biturbo-motor of crossover X6, developing 440 h.p. Also the car has received an eight-step automatic check point with support of function "stop start". Total power of a hybrid power-plant makes 455 h.p.
As they say in message BMW, the car is accelerated to 96 km/h for 4,8 seconds. The maximum speed — 240 km/h. In the USA novelties will appear on sale in the end of 2009. When such cars will enter other markets yet is not informed.
